Health and Safety Induction for Students – Higher Education

The Health and Safety Induction Training for Students in Higher Education is designed to provide learners with simple, basic knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety legislation and requirements whilst students.

This highly interactive module is designed to raise learners’ awareness and promote safety, challenging any preconception and leaving the learner feeling empowered and able to support the organisation commitment to H&S.

The module covers:

• what is health and safety and why is it important
• overview of the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) and main regulations
• the main areas related to safety including personal safety, manual handling, correct workstations set up, fire safety principles, incident reporting, slips, trips and falls

A certificate will be made available for download immediately on successful completion of the training.
The training should take on average between 30 minutes to an hour depending on the user ability to absorb content.   Users can move at their own pace through all sections and resume automatically where they last left off if needed.
