Principles of Risk Assessments Training

The Principles of Risk Assessment Training has been designed to provide a good understand and knowledge of the processes and tools required in assessing and managing risks.

It includes:

• What is a risk assessment and what one should include
• Basic understanding of the legal framework and requirements for risk assessments
• Responsibilities as a risk assessor
• What is a hazard and how to identify hazards when carrying out a risk assessment
• How to complete a risk assessment template and where to seek additional information and help
• Evaluate and grade risk (including how to justify risk score)
• The hierarchy of risk control and the importance of eliminating/reducing risks
• How to tailor generic risk assessment for specific of responsibility

A certificate will be made available for download immediately on successful completion of the training.
The training should take on average between 45 minutes to an hour and half depending on the user ability to absorb content.   Users can move at their own pace through all sections and resume automatically where they last left off if needed.
